Question by Wiss: Anyone move to Norway from the United States?
I recently moved to Bergen, Norway. I am having an awful time adjusting to not only the weather, but the horrific culture shock. I am finding myself very isolated and a bit stir crazy. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do in the area? Specifically things to do with children? Thanks!

It does take a while to get used to Norway after living the US. I’m originally from Norway, but lived in the US for 6 1/2 years, and found things quite difficult on my return. I’m not that familiar with what there is to do in Bergen with kids, but I have been there a few times, both as an adult and as a kid. The funicular up to Fløyen is quite nice (Fløybanen) and so is the aquarium: http://www.akvariet.no/engelsk/index.html
You might want to try out this Yahoo group for expats in Bergen. I’m sure you’ll find others in the same situation as yourself, and loads of good ideas
Best of luck!
