Question by ljay: How has the global economy impacted the US class structure?
Answer by simplicitus
Income inequality is a major and growing problem for the U.S.
But there is no reason to believe it is due to globalization. Other developed countries have entered the global economy and not seen the kind of growing income inequality that the U.S. has. Check out such economies as Norway, Sweden, Germany, etc.
It is even on the decline in parts of latin America
That suggests that income inequality in the U.S. is not due to globalization but to domestic policies.
All the data support that conclusion.
